What Happened

Authorities have information on a crash that left at least one person dead at US 67 in Midlothian, TX on July 23rd, 2023. Officials say the incident happened around 3:44 a.m. According to investigators, a Nissan Xterra operated by a 21-year-old Richardson man was northbound at the time. The vehicle is said to have left the roadway for unclear reasons, traveling onto a grassy shoulder. Upon returning to the roadway, officials say the vehicle overturned multiple times, causing a front seat passenger to be ejected from the vehicle. The passenger, identified as 22-year-old Julia Ramos, was pronounced dead at the scene. The driver is said to have sustained injuries believed to be non-life-threatening in nature.
