What Happened

Authorities are investigating a crash that killed one person involved at State Hwy 21 in Bastrop County, TX on March 1st, 2024. Police say the incident happened around 10:58 p.m. According to investigators, a Chevrolet Silverado was eastbound on State Hwy 21 before meeting from its lane for unclear reasons, going eastbound. Upon returning to the roadway, reports say the vehicle collided with a Ford Escape and Chevrolet Colorado. The driver of the Silverado was killed while the driver of the Ford, identified as 66-year-old Julian Rios, was seriously injured. The driver of the Colorado, who was not publicly identified, was allegedly uninjured. Additional information was not immediately available.
