What Happened

Authorities have information on a crash that injured a driver at I-30 in Mesquite, TX on April 9th, 2024. Police say the incident happened around 10:08 p.m. According to investigators, a Kia Forte was rear-ended by a westbound vehicle authorities were not able to identify. The impact is said to have caused the Kia to lose control and travel into a shoulder, striking a median wall. The unknown suspected vehicle is said to have contained traveling westbound without stopping to render aid. The driver of the Kia, identified as 50-year-old Kendrick Willis Sr, was seriously injured.
