What Happened

Area authorities are investigating a crash that injured a driver at I-610 in Houston, TX on January 9th, 2023. Police say the incident happened around 2:14 p.m. According to investigators, a commercial truck operated by a 27-year-old male was headed northbound on the interstate at the time. Also headed northbound were an Orion bus and a Toyota Venza operated by 34-year-old Keshia Nicole McGee. Officers say a fourth vehicle came to a sudden stop in a lane of travel, leading to the commercial truck taking evasive action. The truck struck the Bus and the bus struck the Toyota. The impact pushed both vehicles into a concrete barrier, causing the Toyota to overturn. McGee was seriously injured. The other drivers are said to have been uninjured.
