What Happened

Houston Police are investigating a crash that injured four people in the Greater East End area of Houston, TX on January 20th, 2019. Police say a vehicle driven by 35-year-old Israel Lugo collided with another vehicle at an intersection after failing to stop at the light. Three people, including Kimberly Saucedo and 15-year-old Joel Martinez, suffered non-life-threatening injuries. A fourth person, 5-year-old Giselle Luviano, suffered serious brain trauma and other critical injuries. Luviano later died from her injuries. Lugo was charged with two counts of intoxication assault.
