What Happened

Authorities have information on a crash that injured three people at State Hwy 87 in Galveston County, TX on April 14th, 2024. Police say the incident happened around 7:58 a.m. According to investigators, a Nissan Sentra was southbound on Monkhouse Dr before allegedly running a stop sign before turning left at Hwy 87. The vehicle is said to have collided with westbound Honda Accord, operated by 41-year-old Kristen Lovett. Authorities say Lovett and her passenger, 27-year-old Brayan Cardenas Telles, were both seriously injured. Also seriously injured, was the 26-year-old driver of the Nissan, who was not publicly identified. Authorities allege the Nissan operator may have been intoxicated at the time of the incident and had no additional information available.
