What Happened

Texas Department of Public Safety officials are investigating a crash that that injured a driver at State Hwy 289 in Plano, TX on February 23rd, 2024. Police say the incident happened around 12:36 a.m. According to investigators, a Honda Accord was southbound on Hwy 289, entering into a turn lane to enter a nearby parking lot. Reports say the vehicle allegedly failed to yield before turning left and colliding with an approaching northbound Ford F-150. Authorities say the Ford operator, who was not publicly identified, was allegedly uninjured. The driver of the Honda, identified as 21-year-old Kristina Barrett, was seriously injured, reports say.
