What Happened

Authorities are investigating a crash that injured several people involved at Babcock Rd in San Antonio, TX on January 23rd, 2024. Police say it happened around 6 p.m. According to investigators, a Ford Ranger was headed southbound before allegedly crossing double yellow limes into northbound lanes. There, police say the vehicle collided head-on with a northbound Honda Civic, operated by 19-year-old Laila Thompson. The collision is said to have seriously injuries both Thompson and one of her passengers. An additional passenger had less serious injuries, reports say. Reports also say the driver of the Ford, a 25-year-old San Marcos woman who was not publicly identified, was seriously injured. Sources indicate the woman had two counts of Intoxication Assault recommended and/or issued against her. Additional information was not available.
