What Happened

Area authorities are investigating a crash that killed a motorcyclist at Loop 1604 in San Antonio, TX on September 5th, 2022. Police say the incident happened around 7:30 p.m. According to investigators, a vehicle operated by 37-year-old Federico Chaves was allegedly traveling in a reckless manner before colliding with a motorcycle. The cyclist, identified as 58-year-old Lewis Earl Fender, was ejected from the vehicle and hospitalized with injuries he later died from. Chaves was reportedly arrest on a charge of manslaughter.
