What Happened

Area authorities are investigating a crash that killed a driver at Spruce Springs Dr in Travis County, TX on September 3rd, 2022. Police say the incident happened around 4:18 p.m. According to investigators, a Honda Civic operated by 23-year-old Luz Daniela Alomia Piedrahita was going southbound on Spicewood Springs Rd at the time of the crash. The vehicle lost control while navigating a curve over the Bull Creek Bridge. It caused the vehicle to veer from the side of the road as it attempted to maintain control before overturning down into the embankment below. Piedrahita suffered fatal injuries in the crash. Authorities had no additional information to share.
