What Happened

Authorities are investigating a crash that injured two people at State Hwy 71 in Travis County, TX on March 8th, 2024. Police say the incident happened around 11:40 p.m. According to investigators, a Toyota 4Runner was westbound on Hwy 71, nearing Hollow Dr. Authorities say the vehicle allegedly veered into an opposite direction lane before colliding with a Honda Accord. Reports say the driver of the Honda, identified as 30-year-old Macario Vences, was seriously injured. The other driver, who was not publicly identified, was also seriously injured. Sources indicate a Wrong Side: Not Passing charge was recommended and/or issued against the operator of the Toyota.
