Police say the incident happened around 2:15 p.m. According to investigators, a Ford Escort is said to have been headed northbound on FM 990 behind a tractor-trailer. The tractor-trailer was slowing to make a left tun, officials say, before it was rear-ended by the Ford. The collision the left the 51-year-old driver of the Ford with serious injuries, police say.
