What Happened

Area authorities are investigating a crash that injured a man at I-20 in Van Zandt County, TX on August 4th, 2023. Police say the incident happened around 10:20 a.m. Investigators allege a Cadillac SRX operated by a 42-year-old Canton man was westbound in an outside lane at the time. They believe the vehicle was traveling behind a tractor-trailer before, possibly due to driver fatigue, the Cadillac collided with the rear of the truck. The Cadillac came to rest in a nearby median and the Canton man had injuries suspected of being serious in nature.
