What Happened

Wharton Police are investigating a crash involving a semi-truck that killed a driver on US 59 near Wharton, TX on January 16th, 2019. Officials say the 27-year-old male driver of a Kia sedan traveling southbound entered the northbound lanes and collided with a semi-truck. He was pronounced dead at the scene. The driver of the semi-truck was hospitalized with non-life-threatening injuries.
