What Happened

Local authorities have information on a crash that killed one person at I-45 in Ferris, TX on November 20th, 2022. Police say the incident happened around 2:02 a.m. According to investigators, a Chevrolet Malibu operated by 59-year-old Jorge Gonzalez was allegedly traveling northbound in the southbound lanes of I-45. The vehicle ended up colliding with a Dodge Charger operated by 22-year-old Marc Gutierrez. The collision caused Gonzalez fatal injuries and Gutierrez serious injuries. Authorities have stated belief that Gonzalez may have been suffering from a medical emergency at the time of the accident which may have contributed to the crash.
