What Happened

Area authorities are investigating a crash that injured a driver at Beaumont Hwy in Harris County, TX on August 8th, 2023. Police say the incident happened around 1:40 a.m. According to investigators, a Chevrolet Silverado operated by 27-year-old Marco Tapia Lopez was westbound before leaving its lane for unclear reasons. IOt then collided with a westbound street sweeper, the collision leaving Lopez with serious injuries, according to police. The street sweeper operator, age 32 and not publicly identified, also had serious injuries, sources say. Additional information was not available.
