What Happened

Authorities are investigating a crash that injured at least three people at FM 493 in Donna, TX on February 18th, 2024. Police say the incident happened around 7:28 p.m. Authorities say a GMC Sierra C2500 allegedly ran a red light at an intersection before colliding with a Dodge Charger and creating a multi-vehicle crash. One of the vehicles, a Nissan Versa, was operated by 69-year-old Bonifacio Cazares, who reports say was seriously injured. Reports also say his passenger, identified as 68-year-old Mariza Cazares, was also seriously injured, as were the three occupants of an additional vehicle involved. Sources indicate the GMC Sierra fled the scene of incident prior to police arrival. Additional information was not available.
