What Happened

Texas Department of Public Safety officials are investigating a crash that injured several people at US 87 in Tom Green County, TX on May 27th, 2022. Police say the incident happened around 10:45 p.m. Investigators say a Mitsubishi Eclipse operated by a 19-year-old San Angelo man was headed southwest on Llano St when it reportedly failed to yield at a posted stop sign, entering into the intersection with US 87. It was then struck by a Chevrolet Silverado operated by 52-year-old Michael Richardson. Both Richardson and his passenger, 8-year-old Patricia Richardson, suffered minor injuries. A 20-year-old passenger int he Eclipse also suffered minor injuries while the San Angelo man was more serious injuries. Reports indicate he was also charged with Driving While Intoxicated.
