What Happened

Area authorities are investigating a crash that injured two people at I-635 in Dallas, TX on October 28th, 2023. Police say the incident happened around 2:58 a.m. According to investigators, an Infiniti G35 operated by a 56-year-old Garland man was approaching a disabled Ford Mustang, which was involved in a previous crash. Authorities allege the vehicle collied with the disabled vehicle, the impact pushing the vehicle from a guardrail into a Chevrolet Silverado. Officials say the Ford operator, identified as 30-year-old Montrell Benniefield, suffered serious injuries. The Infiniti operator had minor injuries, investigators say. Reports indicate police believe the driver of the Infiniti may have been under the influence of alcohol at the time of the crash.
