What Happened

Area authorities are investigating a crash that injured a driver at 6th St in Waco, TX on July 24th, 2023. Police say the incident happened around 1:10 a.m. According to investigators, a GMC Denali operated by an unidentified driver was northbound at the time. Headed westbound on Washington Ave was motorcycle operated by 21-year-old Noe Perez. Officials say the motorcycle turned onto North 6th Street and may have lost control during the turn. The motorcycle was approaching the GMC from the left rear. Police allege the GMC swerved left, possibly intentionally, the vehicles came into contact as a result. Following this, officials say the GMC fled the scene while Perez was left with injuries believed to be serious in nature. Additional information was not immediately available.
