Authorities are investigating a crash that killed a driver at State Hwy 73 in Jefferson County, TX on March 5th, 2024. Police say the incident happened around 4:40 p.m. According to investigators, a Toyota Camry was northbound at the Englin and Hwy 73 intersection. The vehicle is said to have proceeded into a crossover before colliding with a Dodge Ram 1500. The impact is said to have caused the Toyota to veer into a light pole, which landed onto the Dodge. The driver of the Toyota, identified as 71-year-old Paula Long, was fatally injured at the scene. The other driver, who was not publicly identified, allegedly had non-life-threatening injuries.
