What Happened

Area authorities are investigating a crash that injured a person at State Hwy 156 in Haslet, TX on August 17th, 2023. Police say the incident happened around 10:58 a.m. According to investigators, a Mack truck operated by a 51-year-old man who was not publicly identified was westbound on Blue Mound Road before allegedly running a red light. The vehicle is said to have struck a Subaru WRX operated by 22-year-old Roberto Specia Jr a an intersection, pushing the Subaru into a ditch. The crash is said to have left Specia with suspected serious injuries. The other driver was not injured, according to police. Sources indicate a Disregarding Red Light charge was recommended and/or issued.
