What Happened

Authorities are investigating a crash that injured three people at FM 1021 in Maverick County, TX on April 22nd, 2024. Police say the incident happened around 4:02 p.m. According to investigators, a Ford F-150 was eastbound on FM 1021 before losing control for unclear reasons. While attempted to return to the roadway, authorities say the vehicle struck a Jeep Cherokee located on the side of the road. Reports say the driver of the Jeep, identified as 54-year-old Rodolfo Moreno, had non-life-threatening injuries. A passenger in the vehicle also had non-life-threatening injuries as well. The driver of the Ford, identified as 52-year-old Juan Vaquera, was seriously injured, reports say. Additional information was not available.
