What Happened

Area authorities are investigating a crash that injured a person at FM 1187 in Crowley, TX on October 22nd, 2023. Police say the incident happened around 4:32 a.m. According to investigators, a Chevrolet Silverado operated by a 37-year-old Dallas woman was northbound on South Crowley Rd before allegedly running a red light at the intersection on East FM 1187. The vehicle is said to have collided with an eastbound Chevrolet Equinox operate by a 55-year-old Crowley man. Reports indicate a passenger in the Equinox, identified as 58-year-old Ruth Guerrero, suffered serious injuries in the crash. The Crowley man was evaluated for possible injuries, reports say, while the other driver was allegedly uninjured. Sources show a charge of Intoxication Assault was recommended and/or issued against the Silverado operator.
