What Happened

Authorities are searching for a driver in connection to a hit-and-run at FM 529 in Harris County, TX on December 25th, 2022. Police say it happened round 3:43 a.m. According to investigators, an unknown vehicle was headed westbound on FM 529 as a pedestrian was traveling westbound in a bike lane. The vehicle was allegedly in a turn-only lane and proceeded straight at the intersection with Barker Cypress Rd, striking the collision. The vehicle did not stop to render aid and fled the scene prior to police arrival. Authorities say the pedestrian, 28-year-old Santiago Villalva-Juarez, died at the scene. No other information was provided.
