What Happened

Area authorities are investigating a crash that killed a teen at Hwy 288 in Brazoria County, TX on February 26th, 2023. Police say the incident happened around 4:27 a.m. According to investigators, a Chevrolet pickup was parked in a shoulder before being struck by a GMC pickup truck under unclear circumstances. A 19-year-old woman in the GMC was taken to an area hospital with injuries she later died from. The other driver had minor injuries. Investigators allege the driver displayed signs of intoxication and had no additional information to share.
