What Happened

Area authorities have information on a crash that killed a person at State Hwy 183 in Irving, TX on September 7th, 2022. Police say the incident happened around 1:30 a.m. According to investigators, a Nissan Altima operated by 41-year-old Francis Nyamor was headed eastbound on State Hwy 183 as it approached a Honda CR-V that was disabled in a right lane of travel near an entrance ramp. The driver of the Honda, identified as 42-year-old Thai Thanh Tran, was standing behind the vehicle as the Altima approached. The Altima struck both the Honda and Tran, causing Tran to suffer fatal injuries. Nyamor, whose condition was not revealed, was arrested on a charge of Intoxication Manslaughter.
