What Happened

Authorities have information on a crash that injured at least two people at FM 529 in Waller County, TX on March 27th, 2024. Police say the incident happened around 5:55 p.m. According to investigators, a Lexus RX 350 was headed westbound on FM 529 as a Toyota Rav4 travelled southbound at Pattison Rd. Reports allege the Toyota failed to yield at the intersection before proceeding left into the path of the approaching Lexus. The vehicles collided, the impact leaving 62-year-old Lexus operator, Thomas Richter, seriously injured, reports say. Reports also say Richter's 59-year-old passenger, who was not publicly identified, was also seriously injured. Also not publicly identified was a 37-year-old passenger in the Toyota, who allegedly had possible injuries while the driver is said to have been uninjured. Additional information was not available.
