What Happened

Authorities are investigating a crash that injured two people at I-30 and FM 499 in Hopkins County, TX on March 30th, 2024. Police say the incident happened around 8:27 p.m. According to investigators, a Dodge Ram 1500 was eastbound on I-30 before changing lanes, allegedly when unsafe, before allegedly failing to control its speed and colliding with there ear of a Chevrolet Cruze. Reports indicate two occupants of the Cruze, who were not publicly identified, were seriously injured. There were no other reported injuries and sources indicate an Unsafe Lane Change charge was recommended and/or issued against the driver of the Dodge.
