What Happened

Authorities are investigating a crash that injured two people at Tollway 99 in Mont Belvieu, TX on April 10th, 2024. Police say the incident happened around 7:57 a.m. According to investigators, a Ford Ranger was northbound on Toll 99 before allegedly failing to control its speed and hydroplaning into a southbound lane. There, reports say the vehicle collided with a Chevrolet Silverado K1500. Reports say the drivers of both vehicles, who were not publicly identified, were both seriously injured. Sources indicate a Failure to Control Speed charge was recommended and/or issued against the driver of the Ford. Additional information was not immediately available.
