What Happened

Texas Department of Public Safety officials are investigating a crash that injured two people at 20th St and Crescent Dr in Abilene, TX on August 20th, 2022. Police say the incident happened around 4:52 p.m. According to investigators, a Ford Focus operated by 24-year-old Alexis Escobar was headed westbound on 20th before colliding with a parked Dodge Ram that was located on the north curbline facing west. Investigators allege suspicion that Escobar was under the influence of alcohol at the time of the crash, leaving that 27-year-old driver with serious injuries. Escobar suffered minor injuries. Officers recommended and/or issued an Intoxication Assault charge.
