What Happened

Police have arrested a driver in connection with a crash that left two people dead at West Bethel Rd in Coppell, TX on December 29th, 2022. Investigators say it happened round 7 p.m. and involved a BMW and Honda Accord. It has been alleged that the Honda was speeding northbound while fleeing another accident. The vehicle ran a red light and collided with the eastbound BMW. Two of the occupants in the BMW, ages 41 and 69, were killed. Three others were hospitalized with undisclosed injuries. The driver of the Honda, 20-year-old Melvin Cuyuch, was later arrested on charges of manslaughter. Additional information was not provided.
