What Happened

Authorities are investigating a crash that killed three people at I-20 in Martin County, TX on March 26th, 2024. Police say the incident happened around 7:26 p.m. Reports allege a Nissan Sentra was eastbound on I-20 before allegedly veering into a Ford Coachman in an adjacent lane. The impact is said to have caused the Ford to travel across a center median and through a cable barrier into the westbound lanes where it made contact with a Ford F-250. The Nissan, meanwhile, is said to have lost control in the impact and overturned. Authorities say the occupants of the F-250, identified as 51-year-old Pedro Alvarez Ramirez and 54-year-old Julio Lopez Leal, were both killed. Also killed was the driver of the Ford Coachman, identified as 25-year-old Victor Craven Jr. The driver of the Nissan, 19-year-old Maliyah Garcia and a passenger were both hospitalized with undisclosed injuries as was F-250 driver, 34-year-old Miguel Chel-Sanchez. Authorities did not have any additional information available.
