What Happened

Area authorities are investigating a crash that killed a person at I-20 in Lancaster, TX on December 24th, 2022. Police say the incident happened around 3:28 a.m. According to investigators, a Hyundai Tucson operated by 26-year-old Natalie Bahena was headed eastbound on I-20 when it stopped in a right lane of traffic. The vehicle is said to have had no active lightning while stopped before it was struck in the rear by a Kia Rio operated by 34-year-old Deshawn Foster. The impact caused the Hyundai to overturn into another side of the road before it was struck by another vehicle, Foster's passenger, identified as 37-year-old Wally Macias, suffered fatal injuries. Forster was seriously injured and taken to an area hospital. Bahena, who officers allege suspicion of possibly being intoxicated, had minor injuries at the scene.
