What Happened

Area authorities are investigating a crash that injured a driver at I-20 in Fort Worth, TX on December 15th, 2023. Police say the incident happened around 11:22 p.m. According to investigators, a Dodge Ram Truck 2500 operated by 54-year-old Walter Rickels was westbound on I-20 prior to veering from the road into a center median. Reports allege the vehicle traveled int he median for 1/4 of mile before colliding with a guardrail and overtiring between lanes on I-20. Following this, reports say an approaching westbound Ford F-150 struck debris from the crash. That drier, a 22-year-old man who was not publicly identified, was allegedly injured. Police say Rickels was seriously injured in the crash. Additional information was not available.
