What Happened

Area authorities are investigating a crash that injured a woman at State Hwy 36 in Gatesville, TX on August 14th, 2022. Police say the incident happened around 12 a.m. According to investigators, a pickup truck operated by a 27-year-old woman was headed eastbound on Osage Rd before allegedly crossing into a guardrail. It then veered off the guardrail, becoming inoperable. The impact from the collision left the woman, who police allege had multiple partially empty beer cans in her vehicle, with serious injuries. Officers recommended and/or issued a Driving While Intoxicated charge.
