What Happened

State Police are investigating a crash that killed an individual at Pizza Ranch in Burlington, WI on April 15th, 2024. Police say the incident happened around 9:50 a.m. as 34-year-old Jake Zappa was reportedly walking to his vehicle. Reports say that as he did so, a garbage truck reversing in the parking lot struck Zappa, the collision fatally injuring him. Authorities did not provide any additional information.
