What Happened

Alabama State Police are investigating a crash that killed a child at I-65 in Lowndes County, AL on March 13th, 2022. Police say the incident happened around 3:44 p.m. Police say a tractor-trailer collided with a Nissan Maxima, pushing it from the road. The truck then struck two Toyota Camry's and pushed into into a Toyota 4Runner and Ford C-Max. An 11-year-old child in the Nissan suffered fatal injuries at the scene. Four others, including two other children, were hospitalized with undisclosed injuries.
