What Happened

State Police arrested a driver in connection with a crash that killed a woman and her child at Moffett Rd and Wolf Ridge Rd in Mobile, AL on April 14th, 2021. Police say the incident happened when a Pontiac sedan operated by 28-year-old Deidreana Ariel Jasper and her 1-year-old son was stuck by a UPS truck that lost control on rainy roads operated by 55-year-old Ike Johnson. Two other vehicles were reportedly involved in the crash. Both mother and child died in the crash. Johnson was arrested on November 8th on two counts of homicide by vehicle.
