Arizona Department of Public Safety officials are investigating a crash that killed three people at I-10 near San Simon, AZ on September 14th, 2024. Police say the incident happened around 5 p.m. According to investigators, a semi-truck headed eastbound on I-10 is alleged to have suffered a tire blowout, causing the vehicle to lose control. Reports say the truck traveled crossed a median into a westbound lane of travel before colliding with an SUV. Three occupants of the SUV were fatally injured. Two other occupants were hospitalized with suspected serious injuries. The truck operator was hospitalized with undisclosed injuries, reports say. Additional information was not available.
