State Police are investigating a crash that killed a driver at Gyull Ridge Rd in Garfield, AR on January 30th, 2023. Police say the incident happened around 4:37 a.m. According to investigators, a Kenworth truck operated by 60-year-old James Edward Sawyer was headed westbound at the time. The vehicle was approaching the intersection at Fire Run Rd before sliding into a nearby shoulder. The weight of the cargo in the truck caused it to overturn, pinning Sawyer in the vehicle and leaving him with fatal injuries. Police had no additional information to share.
