What Happened

Arkansas State Police are investigating a crash that killed a person at State Hwy 71 in Hatton, AR on October 28th, 2021. Police are saying it happened around 10:15 a.m. A Dodge passenger vehicle operated by 22-year-old Waylon Broach was headed eastbound on County Rd 16 and is said to have failed to yield while entering Hwy 71. It was then struck by an approaching tractor-trailer, pushing the vehicle into a ditch, 49-year-old passenger, Leatha Robey, suffered fatal injuries. Broach suffered undisclosed injuries.
