What Happened

State Police are investigating a crash that killed a person at US 65 in Winchester, AR on August 3rd, 2021. Police say the incident happened around 10:34 p.m. A Saturn Ion operated by 24-year-old Gregory Campbell reportedly failed to yield at a stop sign before crossing into the right side of a tractor-trailer operated by 46-year-old Kerwin Stokes. A passenger in the Saturn, 24-year-old Summer Thomas, suffered fatal injuries. Stokes and Campbell as well as an additional Saturn passenger were treated for undisclosed injuries. Additional information was not immediately available.
