What Happened

Stanislaus County Police are investigating a crash that injured a man at Greer Rd in Stanislaus County, CA on July 29th, 2021. Police say the incident happened around 10:40 a.m. 44-year-old Alan Scott Cole reportedly was sleeping in a Turlock loading dock outside an Ace Hardware truck when a delivery truck began to reverse. The truck reversed and struck Cole, who suffered fatal injuries at the scene. Police say the death was ruled accidental by the coroner's office. Additional information was not available.
