Officials with the Fresno Police Department are investigating a collision that left a woman dead at Friant Rd and Shepherd Ave in Fresno, CA on April 12th, 2023. Police say it occurred around 1 a.m. According to investigators, a tow truck is alleged to have run a red light at the intersection before colliding with the side of passenger vehicle, pushing the vehicle into a median. The woman operating the vehicle, identified as 22-year-old Amaya Chenot, was pinned inside. Authorities were able to free Chenot from the vehicle, however she was pronounced dead at the scene.
