California Highway Patrol officials are investigating a collision that killed a man at I-10 in Blythe, CA on July 21st, 2021. Police say the incident happened around 2:14 a.m. A tractor-trailer operated by 60-year-old Samuel Garcia reportedly veered from the road and struck 41-year-old Du Maurier Way who was working on a parked truck in the shoulder at the time and suffered fatal injuries. The tractor-trailer overturned and Garcia was hospitalized with a head injury. A woman in another vehicle suffered minor injuries.
