What Happened

Police are investigating a crash that injured two people at Hwy 99 and California Ave in Bakersfield, CA on September 20th, 2024. Police say the incident happened around 5:38 a.m. According to investigators, a semi-truck is said to have left its lane of travel for unclear reasons before crashing into a tree in shoulder. From there, reports say the vehicle collided with a pickup truck after crossing all lanes, overturns into a nearby center wall. Reports indicate two occupants of the pickup truck were hospitalized with minor injuries. The semi-truck operator allegedly refused medical treatment, reports say.
