What Happened

California Highway Patrol officials are investigating a crash that injured two people at US Hwy 395 in Bishop, CA on January 14th, 2022. Police say the incident happened around 8:30 a.m. A semi-truck headed northbound on the highway reportedly pulled into a center median to make a right-hand turn into a private drive as a Ford Explorer was approached at what investigators say was a high rate of speed. The Explorer collided with the front side of the semi-truck before veering into a fence and tree, going into southbound lanes. A southbound Ford Econoline van then collided with the overturned Explorer. Police say of the 6 people involved, 2 were hospitalized for minor injuries. Additional information was not immediately available.
