California Highway Patrol officials are investigating a crash that killed two people at Hwy 86 in Alton City, CA on April 3rd, 2023. Police say the incident happened around 3:32 p.m. According to investigators, a passenger vehicle was rear rended by a semi-truck, pushing it into a semi-truck in front of it. The collision caused the vehicle to catch fire and its two occupants were not able to escape the vehicle. They died at the scene and have not been publicly identified.
