State Police are investigating a crash that killed four people at Hwy 287 and County Rd 196 in Prowers County, CO on September 8th, 2021. Police say the incident involved an SUV occupied by four teens turning in front of a semi-truck hauling a boat at an intersection. The four teens, who were between the ages of 14 and 16, suffered fatal injuries. A fifth teen and two people in the truck were all treated for serious injuries. Police say drugs and alcohol are not believed to have been factors in the crash. Additional information was not immediately available.
